Joseph Risi

Joey Risi is a junior at Highland Park High School.  His hobbies include building, fishing, sports, carpentry, and camping.  His favorite part about high school is all of the freedom students have. There are many classes available to take, and he likes the large amount of different people you can interact with.  Joey plans on studying some form of engineering. He enjoys building, designing putting things together, so he thinks that engineering would be the best fit.  Also he is thinking about going into construction, for the same reasons.  Something Joey would like to try but is not sure about is archeology; that topic is very fascinating and he would like to study it, but not sure if it will happen.  He didn’t think differently about his town in result of the project.  Prior to the project, he had never heard of the Burnham plan. Joey learned about the plan and how Burnham wanted to the city to be set up, and about the influences that the plan had on the present day city plan.
